Potager du Prince

The sweet scent of black figs lightened with floral notes. Summer’s end at the Château of La Roche Guyon. A princely fig tree stands at the edge of the kitchen garden. The ground is littered with its heavy black fruits, filling the air with their sweet odor. Amid a shower of pale green petals, the queens of the garden – Lily, Cyclamen and Freesia – salute the fig-lovers, come to fill their baskets.
